(UJ Sports Information) – University of Jamestown head men’s basketball coach Alan Magnani has announced the signing of Kevin Sexton of Arlington Heights, Ill., who will join the Jimmies in the 2015-2016 season.

Sexton is a transfer student from Harper College in Illinois. As a sophomore at Harper, Sexton averaged 12.3 ppg, 2.2 rpg, 4.4 apg, and .7 spg. Sexton is 6’0″ tall. Sexton was 2nd team All-Conference, 2nd Team All Regional, and led the nation in free throw percentage. He was 10th in the nation in three-point percentage.

Coach Magnani says of Sexton, “Kevin adds experience and depth to our program.  We like his versatility in that we feel he can play all three perimeter positions for us.  Kevin will a very good fit for how we play.  He is both a quality student and basketball player.”

Sexton is the son of Brian and Christine Sexton and plans to major in Communications at the University of Jamestown.
