(NewsDakota.com) Sonia Meehl has won re-election for her seat on the Oakes School Board, while Jeremiah Undem will be the newest representative.
32 people voted in the June 2 election, with Meehl, running unopposed for the seat representing the rural area east of Highway 1 receiving 32 votes. Undem ran unopposed for the at large seat in the City Of Oakes and picked up 29 votes.
Undem replaces Brenda Tyre, who chose not to run for re-election. Tyre was also the incumbent President of the Board, therefore the Board will name a new President during their next monthly meeting; set for Monday July 13 at noon.
