N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Hundreds made their way to the Stutsman County Relay for Life that was held in Jamestown on June 6th.
The annual event was held at the University of Jamestown’s Rollie Greeno Field and had a spectacular turnout. According to Co-Chair Pam Phillips, the Relay for Life team has raised roughly $73,000 so far for their year and it’s not over yet.
Roughly 20 teams of over 300 registered walkers signed up for the annual event and roughly 300 spectated in the stands. Names of those who had lost their fight with cancer were repeated over loudspeakers throughout the event. When asked what she thought was the highlight of the event, Pam emotionally described her favorite part.
Pam also stated that next year will be the 20th anniversary of the event in Stutsman County and it would be hard to top this years event. You can find more information by clicking here.
