N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The North Dakota Aeronautics Commission has issued infrastructure grants to public airports throughout the state totaling $2.7 million dollars.
The state grant awards are used to help fund numerous high priority airport projects throughout the state. The source of these grants come from taxes on aviation fuel and aircraft sales. A majority of the state grant will match federal grants that are anticipated to be received later in the year.
The Jamestown Regional Airport was allocated $21,160 to be used on the West taxi-lane rehabilitation, the wetland mitigation project and terminal secure area expansion. Airports in Carrington, LaMoure, Wishek, Valley City, Oakes, and Edgeley also received a portion of the grant money.
