CITY, ND – (NewsDakota.com) Mayor Bob Werkhoven administered the oath of office to police officer Amanda Lawrence on Tuesday. The Jamestown native completed her training and is a licensed peace officer for Valley City.

Police Chief Fred Thompson said another officer, Eric Triebold is in training. He said once his training is completed the department should have 13 employees including him. Triebold is the former owner of Main Street Detailing in Valley City.
