N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Four people were injured after the driver fell asleep at the wheel on I-94 near Oriska on May 31st.

The North Dakota Highway Patrol reports that 47 year-old Cynthia Moen of Fargo was traveling eastbound on I-94 at around 3:07 pm when she fell asleep and drove into the median. The vehicle struck a culvert and landed on the westbound side of the median. The vehicle continued onto the paved portion and then back into the median. All four individuals had to be extricated from the vehicle.

Two individuals and one juvenile were transported to Mercy Hospital. Moen was later transported to Sanford Health in Fargo for non-life threatening injuries. The crash remains under investigation.
