CITY (VCSU) – The Valley City State University football program is hosting its annual high school team camps today through June 6th on the VCSU campus.

A total of 28 teams, about 600 high school athletes, and more than 100 high school coaches are expected to attend the two camps. 

VCSU’s 9-Man Team Camp runs today through June 3rd and features 15 area teams. The 11-Man Team Camp runs June 4-6and features 13 area teams. 

Athletes attending will receive individual instruction from VCSU coaches and guest coaches. Teams will also have practice time with their high school coaches and will scrimmage other teams in attendance. 

Each team camp culminates with the OT Challenge, during which all the teams scrimmage according to high school overtime rules until just one team remains as the OT Challenge champions. 

Coming up later this summer, Valley City State will also host its annual Line of Scrimmage football camp for high school linemen. That camp runs July 8-9.
