N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Dickey County Emergency Manager Charlie Russell has reported that the whole county has been affected by heavy rains from a recent storm.

According to Russell’s report, the storm brought the most rain from Forbes to Fullerton all the way to the LaMoure County line. Fullerton received 2.5 inches in 25 minutes, causing significant street damage along the ditch system of their gravel roads. Dickey County has seen over 12 cumulative inches of rain in just the month of May.

“The Public is encouraged stay out of the outback areas as travel is dangerous until county and township crews can access the damage and close roads if needed. Never go around road closed signs- they are closed for a reason.” Russell stated.

Any damage can be reported to the Dickey County Emergency Manager at 701-320-6299.
