ND – (NewsDakota.com) Congressman Kevin Cramer supports legislation to repeal the Country of Origin Labeling known as COOL.
Cramer says some think we should try to negotiate a settlement with Canada and Mexico, but that time has passed. He says it’s time to repeal COOL and move forward with our North American trading partners rather than against them.
During a North Dakota Broadcasters Association gathering in Fargo last night Cramer talked about what we should focus on instead.
Cramer said we can create a new brand for a world market or face certain retaliation, a scenario nobody wants.
Cramer said he will support a bill to repeal COOL when it comes to a vote on the U-S House floor in June. He believe the votes are there to repeal Country of Origin Labeling law.
