CITY, ND – Two weeks ago Jack Ertelt and Keith Colville questioned the pledge and loan process concerning the proposed Valley City Health, Wellness and Physical Education Center.

Ertelt also wanted some clarification on a $25,000 grant from the John Deere Foundation received by the Sheyenne Valley Community Foundation for a Valley City Parks and Recreation Wellness Center program.

The men wanted some clarification and yesterday Valley Development Corporation board member George Gaukler said the loan and the capital to pay for construction is in place.

One month ago the Barnes County Commission approved of releasing $50,000 annually in economic development funds for the Wellness Center over a five year period if a bank loan is secured.

According to Gaukler the bank loan was approved by Dacotah Bank based in Aberdeen, South Dakota.
