N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Otter Tail Power Company has had some issues with wildlife this past week causing power outages in the Southwest portion of Jamestown.
According to a report from the company, a duck was responsible for entering a substation that caused a 15 minute power outage at around 7:30 AM Thursday morning. The substation has a covering; however the duck was able to enter it and caused an outage. Earlier on Monday this week, a squirrel had entered the substation and caused another power outage.
A brief outage also occurred at around 10:30 AM on Wednesday this past week, but the cause at the moment is unknown.
