(NewsDakota.com) – The slide continued for the Jamestown baseball team that has now lost five of six in the conference with a 9-1 loss to Bismarck High. They have fallen down to the number five spot in the conference standings with one game to play.

Tanner Lunzman started for the Jays and worked into the 5th inning when the Demons tallied five runs, he was charged with the loss. Jamestown has made a habit of allowing late-game big innings. Lunzman had five strong innings in his last start before the flood gates opened and Mandan scored 11-runs.

Jamestown can lock up the No. 5-seed in next week’s WDA tournament with a win over Century on Thursday at Jack Brown Stadium. That game can be heard on ESPN Jamestown.
