CITY, ND – Several trees were planted in Chautauqua Park during the observance of National Arbor Day.

Valley City Mayor Bob Werkhoven said with all the trees removed due to the permanent flood protection project in Valley City, it’s nice to see a few of those being replaced.

Valley City Park and Rec Parks Superintendent Marlow Stavens planted six trees during the Arbor Day Observance in Valley City on May 12.

Here are the sponsors of those trees, Valley City Park and Rec, Dakota Plains Garden Shop, City of Valley City, Riverside Gardens and the Garden Club of Valley City.
