CITY, ND – Several trees were planted in Chautauqua Park during the observance of National Arbor Day.

Valley City Mayor Bob Werkhoven said with all the trees removed due to the permanent flood protection project in Valley City, it’s nice to see a few of those being replaced.

Valley City Park and Rec Parks Superintendent Marlow Stavens planted six trees during the Arbor Day Observance in Valley City on May 12.

Dakota Plains Garden Shop donated an Ironwood tree.

Riverside Gardens donated a North American Linden tree.

City of Valley City donated and Oak Leaf and Mountain Ash tree.

Garden Club of Valley City purchased a Northern Pine Oak tree.
