N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – It was a slower week for the Jamestown Fire Department between the days of May 1st through the 7th.

According to the report released by Jamestown Fire Chief Jim Ruether, only two calls to service took place in the past week. According to the report, the total calls the department has responded to in 2015 so far is 89. In 2014, the department responded to a total of 268 calls.

Below is a list of dates, times, and descriptions of the runs responded to.

May 6th, 10:41PM, fire department responded to 319 5th St NE, in the alley, to a report of a power pole on fire. Firefighters stood by until Otter Tail Power arrived on scene to cut the power. Cause-unknown. No injuries reported. Time out 1 hour 10 minutes.

May 6th, 11:45PM, fire department heavy rescue squad responded to I-94 Mile Marker 254, to a report of person/s trapped in a vehicle. Firefighters extricated (1) person from the vehicle and assisted EMS. Cause-vehicle rollover. No firefighter injuries reported. Time out 1 hour 10 minutes.
