(NewsDakota.com) The Northern Cass High School baseball team used an eight run fourth inning to defeat LaMoure-Litchville/Marion 11-1 in five innings on Thursday afternoon.
The hometown Jaguars (5-4 Class B Region I) scored a run in the first and second innings, before the visiting Loboes (1-8) were able to put a run across in the third courtesy of an Anthony Olson double; scoring Drew Thielges.
In the bottom of the fourth, Northern Cass picked up seven of their 12 hits off of Thielges; all of which in the inning being singles. Thielges struck out two, while Hunter Ward earned the victory on the mound; allowing two hits and striking out three.
