ND – A skid steer loader stolen two years ago in Pennsylvania is now back in the Keystone state with its owner Rich Desanto.

The machine was transported to North Dakota by a man who stole it and then sold it to Mike and Kristi Gilbert of Ellendale back in 2013.

Desanto’s attorney Lee Grossman of Valley City told KOVC Radio news that his client agreed to reimburse the Gilberts $2,200 for repairs they made to the skid steer including the purchase price of the machine before law enforcement seized the stolen machine.

Grossman said Judge Daniel Narum finalized a settlement between the two parties earlier this month.

The man who stole the skid steer loader pleaded guilty and is now serving a prison term in Pennsylvania. The man admitted to stealing machines across the country and reselling them.
