ND – The North Dakota Legislature passed House Bill 1003, it’s the budget bill for the North Dakota University System. In the bill more than million was approved to fund two major projects on the campus of Valley City State University.
Senator Larry Robinson of Valley City says the bill includes funding for a new heating plant and contingent funding for the Foss Hall Communication Arts Building project. He said the contingent funding will be triggered once the general fund ending balance reaches $126 million.
Robinson said the funding package for VCSU is significant following the projected reduction in revenue losses due to a slow down in oil activity in western North Dakota.
Robinson issued a special thank you to VCSU President Tisa Mason and VCSU Vice President Doug Dawes, for their outstanding work on these projects during the legislative session. “I also appreciate the strong support for these projects from my Senate colleagues.”
