ND – The North Dakota legislature approved million in funding that will be used to build dikes in Valley City for permanent flood to help protect the campus of Valley City State University. State Senator Larry Robinson of Valley City.
Valley City Mayor Bob Werkhoven thanked Governor Dalrymple and members of the State Water Commission for their support of this project so important for Valley City.
Werkhoven says this effort began back in 2010 thanks to the hard work of city officials who got the ball rolling five years ago.
The $3 million in funding for the Valley City project is tucked inside SB 2023 and is headed to Governor Dalrymple desk for his signature.
