ND – Rural firefighters responded to a grass fire just south of Cuba just before 9 o’clock last night.
Fire Chief Gary Retterath says the fire started after a railroad crew that was grinding tracks ignited dry grass near their work area.
He says no structures burned in the 5 acre grass fire. Crews remained on the scene for about 90 minutes to check for hot spots.
