CITY, ND – Former firefighter Daryl Stensland was recognized for his 35 years of service with the Valley City fire department during a city commission meeting on April 21.

Stensland served as the assistant Fire Chief for a number of years before he announced his retirement earlier this year.

The Valley City Commission unanimously approved of naming long-time firefighter Ron Burchill as the assistant Fire Chief earlier this year.
