Ann Hansen, age 78 of Sanborn, ND died at home Sunday, April 19, 2015 under the care of CHI Hospice.  A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 AM Thursday, April 23, 2015 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Rev. A. Gaddigotti celebrant.  Visitation will be from 5 PM until 7 PM Wednesday at Sacred Heart Church with a Prayer Service beginning at 7 PM.  Interment will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery.

Mary Ann Hansen was born July 13, 1936 in Buchanan, ND the daughter of Raymond and Kathryn (Tobin) Sellers.  She attended schools in Buchanan, Pettibone, and Jamestown.  On September 25, 1951 she married Wilfred “Sonny” Johnson.  She later married Darrell Hansen on July 14, 1972.  Over her lifetime Mary was employed by the ND State Hospital, Jamestown Hospital, Eagles, VFW, Open Door Center in Valley City, Spiritwood Bar and Grill, and Dittos.  She retired 2 years ago.  Mary enjoyed doing ceramics, sewing, making quilts and afghans for her 27 grandchildren, and was very proud of her flowerbeds and garden.

Mary is survived by her husband Darrell; children, Jeremy (Carlotta) Hansen, Spiritwood, ND, Wayne (Mary) Johnson, Brookville, MD, Marilyn (Tim) Waddington, Yakima, WA, Susan (Steven) Roemmich, Spiritwood, ND, Bryan Johnson, Montpelier, ND, Terri (Hy) Schlieve, Drayton, ND, Mike Hansen, Kenmare, ND, and Jeannie (Ray) Stahl, Gwinner, ND; 27 grandchildren, and 49 great grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her parents; sons Major Alan Johnson, Patrick Hansen, and James Hansen; grandson Quinn Hansen; great granddaughter Lucy Hashbarger; 5 brothers and 6 sisters.
