N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Deputy Casey Yunck of the Stutsman County Sheriff’s Department has received the Beyond the Traffic Stop award during the NDDOT’s Annual Traffic Safety Partner Summit.

The award honors officers who have made exceptional cases by using their enforcement and investigation skills during a routine traffic stop.

“Deputy Yunck demonstrates leadership in enforcement of traffic safety laws,” states Sheriff Chad Kaiser, Stutsman County Sheriff’s Department. “During routine traffic stops, he has the knowledge and expertise to investigate a situation further if needed. This year, he did just that and it led to an arrest for multiple drug charges.”
