(NewsDakota.com) Oakes’ Blake Hollingsworth will have quite a bust schedule at the 2015 State Class B Track and Field Meet in Bismarck late next month.
After qualifying for the state meet in the 100 meter dash and as part of the 4×200 team during a home meet last Friday, the senior put himself in competition for Bismarck in the 200 and 400 meter dashes on Monday at the Lisbon Yowzer Strong meet; while improving his time in the 100.
Hollingsworth won the 100, 200 and 400 dashes with times of 10.9, 22.85 and 51.75 seconds respectfully. The Oakes boys finished with 49 points, good for fifth place.
On the girls side, Shelby Gelinske placed first in the 300 meter hurdles with a time of 51.48 seconds; helping the Tornadoes finish 11th with 30 points.
Lisbon won both the boys and girls meets. Oakes next competes in a meet on April 21 at Kindred.
