N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Some Jamestown residents were without power for about 30 minutes while the Jamestown City Fire Department extinguished a fire due to a broken electrical conductor yesterday afternoon.
According to a report, the conductor fell between the two sheds in the Northwest part of town and caused them to catch fire. Otter Tail Power Company stated that roughly 820 customers were without electricity between 2:25 PM and 2:45 PM. Later, power was restored and back online at around 5 PM. Otter Tail crews needed to bring in a special piece of equipment from out of town to reach and replace the conductor.
No other structures were affected and the sheds were damaged extensively. No injuries were reported.
