A. Vleck, 55, of Valley City, ND, went home to be with his Lord on Saturday, April 11, 2015, following a long battle with cancer.

Wayne Allen Vleck was born October 2, 1959, in Fargo, ND, the son of Walter and Virginia (Hoag) Vleck. He lived for a short time in both Hunter, and Buxton, ND, before moving to a farm near Buxton. Wayne graduated high school from Central Valley School, Buxton, ND; BA from Northwest Bible College, Minot, ND (Religious Studies); Masters of Divinity Degree from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, Fort Worth, TX, in 1987, and did some graduate work in History at UND, Grand Forks, ND.

Wayne married Beverly Wagar, August 28, 1982, in Grand Forks, ND at Faith Baptist Church. Pastor Wayne Vleck and his wife, Beverly, moved to Love, Saskatchewan, Canada to serve a small parish.  In 1993, Wayne, Beverly, and now a son, Anthony, moved to Rugby, ND, to pastor the Pleasant Valley Church of the Brethren, rural Knox, ND.  While living there, he also owned a bookstore in town; along with one online at bunyanfamilybooks.com; published Christian Advancement, a magazine filled with articles, etc., written by regional authors; wrote and published Dakota Martyrs – The Story You Never Heard, a book about ND’s first missionaries; and lastly, began a candy machine business with a route that kept him busy and sweet. Later, he began distribution of Maranatha books and Three Bears Honey throughout various nearby states. In spring of 2005 , they moved to pastor the Valley Baptist Church in Valley City, ND, which Pastor Wayne Vleck was still doing up until passing to meet his Savior.

Family time, whether extended or immediate, was always something Wayne enjoyed. Books have always been great friends, and collecting them was fun. He loved researching various topics and helping others research also. Wayne was a reserved man, but had large amounts of humor, that he held back for his good friends and relatives.

Wayne will forever be remembered by his loving wife, Bev and son, Anthony. He will forever be cherished by his siblings, Gloria (Jim) Schneider, Fall Creek, WI; John (Janice) Vleck, Pullman, WA; and Phyllis (Fubara) Dapper, Lakeville, MN.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
