(NewsDakota.com) After taking two tough losses on his record to start the Class B Region I season, Enderlin/Maple Valley’s Jesse Johnson threw a six inning shutout, and allowed only two hits as the hometown Falcons flew past LaMoure-Litchville/Marion 10-0 in six innings on Monday evening at Hendrickson Field.
Johnson was perfect through four and a third innings, before Drew Thielges registered the first Loboe hit. The other hit in the game was picked up by Alex Klever with two outs in the sixth. The Falcon right-hander also struck out 13 to give EMV a 2-2 record and two game winning streak in Region I play. Johnson also made an impact with the bat, going two for four with two doubles and two runs batted in.
LLM fell to 0-2 in Region I play with Hayden Aberle giving up eight earned runs on 11 hits, while striking out two.
