N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The North Dakota Farmers Union is not wasting any time.
The state’s largest farm organization has started circulating petitions today to refer the recently passed corporate farming exemptions to a statewide vote. The farmers union wants voters to reject the changes
State Farmers Union President Mark Watne says a limited number of petitions are out now. The drive to gather signatures should be in full swing by the end of the week:
Watne says supporters have a short window of time to collect more than 13,000 signatures by June 18th to get the measure on the June 2016 ballot.
