CITY, ND – Maple Valley School District Voters will go to the polls next Tuesday to decide the fate of a .3 million bond issue.
Superintendent Brian Wolf says under the plan two schools would close and students would be in one building.
Wolf says under the proposal the district would build a new high school and renovate the current high school in Tower City into a K-6 elementary school.
Wolf says the only teaching positions that would be eliminated are a few through retirement. He says some bus driving positions would be cut under the plan.
A final public meeting about the proposal will be held tonight at 7pm in Tower City.
Meanwhile no one will be prosecuted following the completion of an investigation into an allegation of election tampering in January.
On Tuesday, April 14 the polls will be open at 7am and close at 7pm. The polling places are City Hall in Fingal, the Oriska School and the Community Centers in Tower City and Buffalo.
