N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The Jamestown City Council addressed many issues during their full, albeit short monthly meeting with Councilman Dan Buchanan absent.

the first few items on the agenda included granting Jamestown Tourism $18,102 for development on the new Jamestown Community Calendar, approving the Jamestown Fire Department Standard Operating Guidelines, and accepting reports of several city positions.

One item that received approval was the special election date and information for the Two Rivers Activity Center. The election was approved for June 2nd, absentee voting was set for April 17th, and June 8th was approved for the canvassing board to count the votes. The polling place was elected to be the Jamestown Civic Center. Early voting and absentee voting would be at the Stutsman County Courthouse.

Another item that was approved by the council was the approval of City Clean-Up Week. Between May 4th and May 9th, crews will conduct pick-ups in designated sections of the city. More information will be released closer to the time of Clean-Up.
