BISMARCK, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The Bismarck National Weather Service provides a wild land fire assessment map every day, and currently has marked most of the Eastern part of the state as in moderate fire danger.

Groups earlier announced drought potential was high for the state and has listed most of the state as abnormally dry. Eddy, Foster, Griggs, Steele, Barnes and Ransom counties make the list for moderate fire danger in the state. Stutsman, LaMoure, Logan, Kidder and Wells remain in the low portion.

The scale for fire danger ratings are Low, Moderate, High, Very High and Extreme.
