(NewsDakota.com) The Oakes School Board has unanimously approved construction of a centralized office and library for the district.
Superintendent Josh Johnson says the fully paid for $2.7 million project, which was approved at the last school board meeting on Tuesday cites the reasons for this endeavor.
Johnson that roughly 50 percent of the work being done by contractors on the project are within a 75 mile radius of Oakes, with three of the groups from the community.
Ground is set to be broken at the end of of May and the project is expected to take eight months to complete.
