CITY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) FEI, Inc., of Valley City has pledged to donate 0,000 to the Valley City Health, Wellness, and Physical Education Center.

FEI president Brad Moen said “this is a great asset to our employee owners.  The Wellness Center will enhance retention of these employees as well as aiding in the recruitment of future employees.” Moen added “we have grown over the years and have more personnel in our Valley City office than ever before.  We felt that it was the time to give a substantial amount to the Wellness Center as this new facility will benefit everyone in the community and region.”

Moen said, “we hope that all of our employees will take advantage of this new facility and lead them in the direction of a healthy lifestyle.”  He added, “we also feel that if a progressive community like Valley City can make this Wellness Center a reality, it would create an ideal environment to live and raise a family. I encourage all businesses and individuals in our region to do what they can to make this Wellness Center happen Moen said.”

President of the Park Board Dick Gulmon said “for an employee owned company to make a $200,000 commitment to the Wellness Center, it really speaks to the vision and commitment of the company and employees. The employees understand that a Wellness Center contributes to their quality of life and the future vitality of our community.  As we have often said the Wellness Center will be a game changer for Valley City/Barnes County.  The management and staff at FEI truly understand and believe this to be true.”

And Valley City State University president Tisa Mason said, its one thing to read about the generosity of those who support the Wellness Center, and it’s another to be present and hear the folks at FEI talking with pride and passion about how their gift will impact our community.

Mason said often near the end of a campaign, it becomes more challenging to identify those much-needed final contributions. That’s why when a company like FEI steps up with an ample gift, it’s important to seize the moment to let others know that there is still both the time and the need to make a big difference and be part of something very special in Valley City.

She said if you haven’t done so already, please make a gift or a pledge to the Valley City Health, Wellness and Physical Education Center.
