N.D. (NewsDakota.com) The Enderlin Eagles have advanced to the semifinals of the Region One Boys Basketball Tournament with a 66-51 win over the Milnor Bison.

The Enderlin eagles started out hot behind the three-point shooting of Grant Lindeman who went 2-for-3 from behind the arch in the opening half and posted a team high 10 first half points. In order to stay in the game the Bison turned to their stingy defense. Milnor posted 14 points on turnovers in the opening two periods to stay within six of the Eagles at the break.

In the second half, Enderlin’s Graham Hurlburt went off for 14 of his game high 24 points. Along with a 22 point night from Lindemann, and another 14 posted from Dalton Anderson, Milnor just could not keep up with the fast paced Eagles offense. Enderlin shot an outstanding 54 percent from the field. Milnor made just 35 percent of their shots.

The win advances Enderlin into the Region One semifinals where they will play Central Cass. In the last meeting between the two teams the Squirrels defeated Enderlin 76-75. The Milnor Bison end their season at 10-13 on the year.

The Enderlin Central Cass game can be heard on Q101, 101.1FM Tuesday night at 7:30pm.

Central Cass advanced to the semifinal round with a 78-75 win over Hankinson. The Squirrels led by as much as 16 points in the game before the Pirates whittled away at their lead in the closing minutes of the game. Grady Bresnahan posted a game high 35 points for Central Cass in the win.

In the earlier games, Fargo Oak Grove Defeated North Sargent 80-56 and Lidgerwood/Wyndmere was the only District One team to advance with a 58-45 win over Northern Cass.
