N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The Jamestown Fire Department has released their run report for February 21st through March 5th.
According to the report, the department responded to roughly 268 total calls last year. So far for 2015, they’ve responded to 41 calls. Jamestown Fire Chief Jim Ruether released the descriptions and information on calls they responded to this past week.
February 21st, 9:08AM, ready squad responded to 405 2nd Ave NW, Single Family Dwelling, to investigate smoke smell. Firefighters checked for smoke/fire none was detected, also checked for carbon monoxide 0ppm was detected. Cause-unknown. Time out 35 minutes.
February 28th, 8:18AM, ready squad responded to 2700 8th Ave SW, Hampton Inn & Suites, to a report a of a person/s trapped in the elevator. Firefighters rescued one person from the elevator. Cause-elevator malfunction. Time out 40 minutes.
March 1st, 1:20PM, ready squad responded to 550 18th St SW Garage #6, to a report that there had been a fire. Firefighters checked the garage for smoke/fire none was detected. Cause-under investigation. Time out 2 hours.
March 1st, 2:23PM, additional firefighters were requested to responded to 550 18th St SW Garage #6 to assist firefighters on scene. Time out 25 minutes.
