(NewsDakota.com) The Valley City Hi-Liner Gymnastics team picked up a fifth place finish this weekend at the State Tournament in Minot.
The Hi-Liners finished the opening day of the tournament with a team score of 138.267 which earned them a spot right behind Jamestown. Minot was the tournament winner with a team score of 149.967.
On Satruday, the Hi-Liners continued competition in the individual tournament. There, the Valley Twisters would find success in just about every event.
The Hi-Liners top placer was Rebekah Fisher who finished in seventh place on the balance beam. Fisher also picked up a 15th place finish in the all-around competition. Brieene Roehrich finished with a 9.233 on the Vault earning 12th place in the event. On the floor, Taylor Johnson led the way for the Hi-Lienrs with an eighth place finish of 9.467. Michaela Thibert finished in 12th place on the floor.
Hi-Liners head coach Susan Fisher was named the North Dakota Gymnastics coach of the year.
