N.D. (NewsDakota.com) The Maple Valley Raiders girls basketball team advanced to the semifinals of the Region 1 Tournament on Monday night with a decisive57-45 win over Hankingson on at the Fargo Civic Auditorium.

Rylee Nudells 21 point night helped Maple Valley overcome a 3 point deficit at halftime. After the break, the Raiders went on a 11-2 run to start off the third quarter. Hankinson would never recover from the deficit.

In the opening half, Ashley Punton had an impressive game for the Raiders knocking down seven of her 11 points in the game. For Hankinson Elizabeth Asp was the leading scorer with 20 points.

Maple Valley Will play Fairmount-Campbell-Tintah tonight (Tuesday, February 24) for a chance to move onto the final. The game can be heard on Q101, 101.1FM starting at about 7:30pm.
