ND  (NewsDakota.com)  The Cardinals won the State Individual Championship and the State Dual Championship over the weekend at the Fargodome.  Carrington set a new Class B total points record scoring 233 team points breaking the previous mark held by Napoleon in 2005 with 227.  Out of the 14 total weight classes, Carrington placed 12 and had four champions.  In just his second year as head coach, Carrington’s Josh Kerbaugh was named Coach of the Year.  Here are the Carrington individual and team results from the three day state tourney:

106 – Lucas Geiszler, third place

113 – Tyler Hoggarth, seventh place

120 – Senior Matthew Neumiller, Champion (state title was 100th career win)

126 – Zachary Broadwell, 1-2, did not place, scored three team points.

132 – Bryce Carr, third place

138 – Kaden Wolsky, fourth place

145 – Junior Walker Carr, Champion (second state championship-2013, runner-up last year, all time wins record in Carrington High School history with 185 career wins)

152 – Junior Billy Holtan, Champion

160 – Senior Chaz Bauer, third place (180 career wins, second most in Carrington High School history)

170 – Bridger Anderson, runner-up

182 – Junior Riley Lura, Champion

195 – Senior Seth Zink, eighth place

220 – Tyrell Larson, 1-2, did not place, scored three team points

285 – Bradee Schroeder, runner-up

Both Chaz Bauer and Walker Carr surpassed Joey Irmen’s previous record of 171 wins set in 2003 at Carrington High School.
