CITY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) CHI Mercy Health Foundation raised 08.90 during the Giving Hearts Day held on February 12.  Contributions of or more were matched by Dakota Medical Foundation and other generous donors.

CHI Mercy Health Foundation spokeswoman Stephanie Mayfield says it was a great day and we are pleased with how our first year participating in Giving Hearts Day turned out!

Giving Hearts Day was started by Dakota Medical Foundation 8 years ago and is a 24 Hour online giving day held each year that benefits 300 non-profit organizations participating and raised a total of $6,938,206.00 statewide in North Dakota.

CHI Mercy Health Foundation has been able to purchase the following capital for the hospital this past year because of our generous donors:  nurse call light system, endoscopy scope, telemetry system for ER, OR, and inpatient beds, flat screen TV’s for OR recovery rooms and waiting rooms, water feature/fountain for the lobby with our new logo on it, hands free sanitizers throughout the facility, infusion chair for ambulatory care, new furniture for patient rooms, and most recently–three new pieces of equipment for our Physical Therapy department.

Mayfield says all of these items have truly been a blessing to the hospital, and most importantly, our patients, to be able to provide further comfort for their stays with us.
