N.D. (NewsDakota.com) Valley City saw a number of wrestlers competing in the second day of the state championship particularly in the consolation brackets. The most successful result of the day came at 220 pounds where Jordan Magnuson earned a spot in the Championship match with a 5-2 win over Williston’s Bret Sandberg. 

Magnuson will take on West Fargo’s Brandon Metz for the state Championship on Saturday afternoon. The two met up previously in the EDC championship. In that bout, it was the West Fargo’s grappler who picked up the win in an overtime period.
