N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – It was reported in January that the Jamestown Arts Center was selected as one of 90 finalists nationwide to possibly receive a grant from ArtPlace America.

Executive Director Cyndi Wish welcomed Leila Tamari from ArtPlace and External Reviewer Paul Bonin-Rodriguez into the community. A preliminary proposal of possible projects at the Jamestown Arts Park was then discussed.

Leila Tamari stated that the Arts Center is on the right track in achieving their final proposal to be sent in. She will continue to visit all 90 finalists nationwide and hear each proposal. ArtPlace received a total of 1,283 letters of inquiry. The Jamestown Arts Center is the only North Dakota project to be selected as a finalist.
