N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The sprint of the North Star Athletic Association season is coming to the final stretch. The Jimmies will finish the conference season with two games at home this week against Dakota State tonight and Mayville State on Saturday. Jamestown has a chance in both the men’s and women’s leagues to hold home-court advantage throughout the playoffs.
The women are ranked No. 11 in the latest Top-25 poll and sit at 7-1 in the NSAA tied with Valley City State. The Vikings and Jimmies split their regular season meetings so if they both finish 2-0 this week the No. 1-seed will come down to a coin flip.
The Jimmie men fell out of the Top-25 after an 0-2 week which saw them lose in overtime and at the buzzer. They sit a game out of first place behind Dakota State, but the Trojans come to Jamestown tonight.
Tip times tonight are 5:30pm and 7:30pm. You can hear the action on ESPN Jamestown and NewsDakota.com.
