N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The Blue Jay girls hockey team snapped a 13 game losing streak with a 8-2 win over Devils Lake on Tuesday night at Wilson Arena.

Elly Milender staked Jamestown to a quick lead as she scored twice in the first period, her 9th and 10th goals of the season.

Torri Kamlitz continued her hot streak with a goal and three assists. Kamlitz has six goals in her past three games.

Haley Hillstrom  scored twice, snapping in her fifth and sixth goals of the season.

Chaya Joersz, Jolissa Netterville, and Kylie Mitchell each scored their first goal of the season.

Goalie Ally Dion came up with 13 saves for Jamestown, as the Jays outshot the Firebirds 56-15.

The Blue Jays improve their record to 2-18, with both wins coming over Devils Lake. The Firebirds slip to 0-20.

The Jays will wrap up the season this weekend with a pair of home games. West Fargo comes to town on Friday night, and Mandan will be here on Saturday night.
