N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The Jamestown Fire Department has released their run report for the week of January 3rd through February 12th.
It’s been a relatively quiet month for the department, with just six total calls in the past month. Fire Chief Jim Ruether reported that in 2014, the department responded to 268 total calls. In 2015 so far, they have responded to 34. Below is a full list of runs with details, dates and times.
January 29th, 3:50PM, ready squad responded to 2605 Circle Drive, NDSH-New Horizons Building, to investigate fire alarm activation. Firefighters checked for smoke/fire none was detected. Cause-accidental alarm activation. Fire alarm was reset. Time out 25 minutes.
February 2nd, 8:24AM, fire department heavy rescue responded to I-94 Exit #260, to a report of person/s needing extricated from a vehicle. Firefighters extricated 2 persons from and assisted Jamestown Area Ambulance. No firefighter injuries were reported. Time out 1 hour 10 minutes.
February 3rd, 10:30AM, ready squad responded to 1612 Western Park Village, to investigate carbon monoxide detector activation. Firefighters analyzed for carbon monoxide and 0ppm was detected. Cause-faulty detector. Time out 25 minutes.
February 4th, 2:17PM, ready squad responded to 1509 10th St NE, Jamestown High School, to investigate fire alarm activation. Firefighters checked for smoke/fire none was detected. Cause-systems malfunction. Fire alarm was reset. Time out 25 minutes.
February 4th, 10:29PM, ready squad responded to 1520 7th Ave NE, Single Family Dwelling, to investigate carbon monoxide detector activation. Firefighters analyzed for carbon monoxide and 0ppm was detected. Cause-unknown. Time out 30 minutes.
February 11th, 1:00PM, ready squad responded to 713 8th Ave NW, Single Family Dwelling, to investigate carbon monoxide detector activation. Firefighters analyzed for carbon monoxide and 0ppm was detected. Cause-faulty detector. Time out 20 minutes.
