D.C. (NewsDakota.com) – Senator John Hoeven has announced the several North Dakota housing authorities have received more than .8 million in grants from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development.

Funds are for capital management activities to help modernize and develop public housing and pay down debt if necessary. Several local housing authorities have received funding including Barnes, Emmons, and McIntosh County.

Hoeven stated that the demand for affordable housing will hold strong over the long term and these grants will ensure the public housing meets to needs of our expanding population.
