N.D. – The North Dakota Department of Agriculture and the North Dakota Agriculture Association will host a series of anhydrous ammonia safety trainings across the state.

Safety trainings are a requirement for any person handling, transferring, transporting or otherwise working with anhydrous ammonia at storage facilities.

Training session registration is $40 and includes information on the chemical properties of anhydrous ammonia, responding to anhydrous emergencies, hazard materials transport and regulatory updates, among other topics.

Attendees will learn safe operating practices and be able to take appropriate actions when faced with minor leaks as well as emergency situations.

The training sessions are as follows:

Feb. 13            Napoleon – Ruben’s Café, Main St.   2:30 p.m.

Feb. 25            Hatton – Community Center              10 a.m.

Feb. 25            Gwinner – Springs Golf Course         2:30 p.m.

Local emergency response officials are encouraged to attend. They will receive free registration.
