Klein, 88, Valley City, ND died peacefully Saturday, February 7th at the Sheyenne Care Center in Valley City.

Delores Marie Rustad was born on December 25, 1926 near Sanborn, ND to Barney and Mary Rustad. She grew up in Urbana, ND.

Delores was united in marriage to Robert Klein on June 25, 1944, in Sanborn, ND. They farmed near Eckelson. There they raised 4 children. During harvest you would find her on a John Deere pull-type combine.  Delores always had a float in the July 4th parade in Sanborn; she spent many hours coming up with the decorations and attire people would wear.  Later in life they wintered in Arizona, spending time with other North Dakota snowbirds. Delores was always one to enjoy a game of cards, especially pinochle. She was a member of the Brimer Homemakers, Circle 3 of Sacred Heart Church and Christian Mothers for over fifty years. Delores was also a 4-H leader for a number of years.

Delores is survived by her husband, Robert; children, Marsha (Dennis) Wendel, LaMoure, ND, Robert (Sharon), Sanborn, ND, William (Nina), Ashley, ND and Jane (Dave) Hovda, West Fargo, ND; 22 grandchildren and 65 great grandchildren.

Delores was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Loren and John Rustad; sisters, Dorothy Hindahl and Marion Grunhovd; and grandsons Thomas and Jon Klein.

Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 on Wednesday, February 11 at Sacred Heart Church, Sanborn. Visitation will be on Tuesday, February 10 from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm with a prayer service at 7:00 pm.  Interment will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery later in the spring.
