N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The Blue Jay boys hockey team hosted the fourth ranked team in the state on Thursday night, as Bismarck Century came to town.
The Patriots out shot Jamestown 34-24 and skated away with a 6-0 victory, handing the Jays their second shut out of the week.
Century struck for four goals in the first and added two more in the second. Bismarck got a couple of short handed goals and killed off six Blue Jay power play chances.
“I don’t think we need to panic because we haven’t scored a goal in our past two games” said head coach Matt Stockert, “I believe the goals will come and hopefully in bunches. I felt we played better tonight then we did Tuesday night against Devils Lake”
Jamestown slips to 8-9 over-all and 8-6 in the West Region. The Patriots improve to 14-3 and 10-2 in the West.
The Blue Jays have just one home game remaining and that will be next Tuesday night versus Mandan, with fourth place in the West Region at stake. Face-off is set for 7:30 pm
