N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – A Spiritwood woman who lost her home to a fire Saturday night.
The Jamestown Rural Fire Department was called when a house became fully engulfed in flames. The owner of the home, Rosemarie Jasmann, was not home when the fire broke out. Daughter-in-Law Dawn Jasmann, stated that the community support that she has received has been fantastic.
“The community support has been overwhelming and that the family is extremely grateful for the outpouring of love we’ve received,” Dawn stated.
Charlie Johnson, who came across the fire when it broke out, sustained burn injuries to his head and neck from the blaze. The American Red Cross provided assistance to more than 20 firefighters throughout the night. The cause of the fire was estimated to have been a partially collapsed chimney attached to a wood stove. The house was a total loss.
