Presler, 90, Oakes, ND formerly of the Gackle, ND community died early Tuesday morning February 3, 2015 in the Good Samaritan Nursing Home at Oakes, ND.

Alvina Moos was born May 10, 1924 at the family farm home southwest of Gackle, ND, the daughter of John and Elizabeth (Schott) Moos. She attended the local rural school where she received her elementary education and grew to womanhood in the vicinity.

She and Richard Presler were married June 9, 1946 in Gackle, ND. They made their home in Gackle. In the spring of 1948 they moved to the farm where they farmed until 1982. In 1983 they moved into Gackle for their retirement. In 2009 they moved to the Good Samaritan Society in Oakes, ND. Following the death of her husband December 3, 2014, she continued to live in Oakes.

She was a member of the First United Church of Christ in Gackle, ND and served on the church board, was active in Church Choir and helped with church ladies’ activities.

She is survived by her 2 sons, Roger (Judy) Presler, Gackle, ND and Merle (Mindy) Presler, Oakes, ND; 1 daughter, Donna (John) Scherr, Oakes, ND; 5 grandchildren, Nathan Scherr, Kyle Scherr, David Presler, Kristen (Presler) Brown, and Stephanie Presler; and 1 great grandson, Reid Scherr.

She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, 2 brothers, Herbert and Edwin, and 1 sister, Anna.

Funeral Service – 2:30 PM Sunday, February 8, 2015 at the Haut Funeral Chapel in Jamestown, ND with Rev. Steve Olson, officiating

Burial – Gackle Cemetery, Gackle, ND

Visitation – 1:00-7:00 PM Saturday, February 7, 2015 @ the funeral home in Jamestown
