N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – With budget cuts expected in the upcoming school year, the Jamestown Music Boosters mission becomes that much more important.
The Music Boosters were created to help assist the music program in the Jamestown Public School District. They help pay for accompanists, busing and tuning the piano’s. New president of the group Michelle Weatherly stated that many different budget cuts are being reported in the news and there have been talks about cutting the music budget.
The group will be hosting their biggest annual fund raiser “Music to Warm The Heart” on Sunday, February 8th at 5:00 PM. Local musicians will sing and play music for the night to help raise funds for the Music Boosters. Tickets will be $30 and are only available until February 4th.
